Synopsis:
After some time, the historain contacts you via messenger pigeon to let you know he's in need of your help. After combing through some records to find information on the water your brought him, he found mention of it in a type of sactuary of sorts. The mention was brief, so there's not many details; but he thinks it may yield something fruitful. The sanctuary is at the bottom of the Land of a Thousand Lakes, near the very center to be exact. You'll need to travel to the center of the land formation, and go straight down to the bottom. Here, you'll notice the water's completely clean.
You quickly realize that you're mission won't be simply 'go and get the thingy' as several strange creatures close in on you and attack. They're a mythical race, long since assumed to have died in the God Wars. Half human, half fish; the Mer-folk are considered the godfathers of the Mar, and were known to be ferocious. Three of them engage you upon entering their domain, and as you travel through the city you'll need to avoid more of them. The three that attack use Magic, Melee, and Ranged attacks individually, but work as a team to be an extremely difficult fight.
Once you reach the center of the city, there's a building with lots of mer-folk swimming around it, guarding it. Logically, if there's that many guards, something inside is worth guarding. Once you get past them and get inside, you'll find a podium with a large book on it. The book is torn at the spine and appears to only be the first few chapters, but through quick skimming you find the language is old... so old it very well may be a dead language. You decide to take the book back to the Historian to see if he can decipher it.
Enemies: Merfolk
Melee Mer: Capable of powerful attacks, they come in various sizes. Small ones can move fast and hit soft, and large ones move slow and hit hard.
Ranged Mer: They use ranged weapons that aren't effected by the water, making them hard to dodge. However, they're physically weak.
Magic Mer: They use powerful water attacks and magic weapons made from fae hearts. Unfortunately, the weapons quickly wither and vanish if held by a non-mer-folk.
Is it alright to make up my own enemies?: Yes
